Do you know the feeling of being around somebody and feeling anxious for some reason? Or, do you feel drained after spending a period of time with certain types of people? Ever wondered why?
Here is what I have realized. Certain people just LOVE to complain and feed off your energy in a negative way. Usually, these are the people who need the most attention and love. If you have a personality type of a giver, you may find yourself constantly helping these people without receiving anything back from them. Because there is no exchange of energy, you will automatically feel drained. Another good reason why you may feel drained is that you vibrate on a totally different frequency than the person you have encountered. If you meet with people who vibrate on a similar frequency, you will feel at ease and completely aligned with your true self. These people will not only support you verbally, but also charge your energy like a battery. On the contrary, when you interact with people who are not tuned in to your frequency, you may feel discomfort and, possibly, anxiety.
Your emotions are powerful tools that tell you what direction to take in life. If something feels off, it is. Don’t question it and you save yourself the trouble, waste of time, and energy.
I have had people in my life whom I loved, but those people didn’t resonate with my true self. Because I felt constantly drained and tired whenever we interacted, I decided to minimize my contact with them. It’s not because I didn’t love them, but because the universe was clearly showing me to drop it and open myself up to different people who are on the same page as I am.
Feeling High is Your Natural State of Being
You should be feeling great and on a high, most of the time. If you don’t feel this way, there is something wrong in the system of your relationships. Remember: life is about the choices that we make. Our choices define us. If you don’t define your life, somebody else will do it for you. Take charge of your life today!
The same principle can be applied to your job. If you hate your current job, there is a reason why you feel this way. The simple explanation is that you are not aligned with your purpose, and therefore you suffer. You keep working at the job that you hate because you are afraid to follow your true heart’s desire. You know, it’s funny how we people are. We are not afraid of failure as much as we are afraid of our own power and greatness. That’s the real fear that restrains and keeps us playing within the limits of a freaking small game. Then, we complain and suffer. Now, whose problem is that?
If things feel off at work, quit! So what? You can’t sit in two chairs at the same time. In order to get something new out of life, you need to let go of the old. It’s like a closet full of clothes. How can you stick more clothes in if it’s already full of old crap? Get rid of the old and open yourself to the new opportunities that will definitely come to you, if and only if you are open to it.
Now, let’s stop talking and start doing. It’s all about action. If you don’t act, you ain’t gonna get anywhere.
Write down the things that feel off in your life, including people, a job, a housing situation, or anything else that bothers you. Then, make a deliberate decision to let all this crap go. Send blessings to these people, places, or your job—then let it go. After you have finished, ask the universe for guidance and stay open to possibilities. They will come to you, I promise. If they don’t, send me an email; but I bet you won’t have to because these things will eventually come to you 🙂
Let me conclude with this beautiful quote:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
